Lightning Rods

When there's a lot of stormy weather it would be cool to be able to purchase or craft lightning rods to help divert strikes from destroying decor and maybe power your home, or maybe get a little mad scientist. I'm honestly surprised there isn't a lightning rod already at the least for Eco Lifestyle (at least there isn't one that I can find by searching) but it could work for Strangerville or even for the Cottage Living/Horse Ranch for the farms. Gotta protect your barn! It could also be a way to relieve the afraid of storm moodlets to give a positive one for knowing you are safe from the storm.

@KiniLynae Yes! I miss the lightning rods we could purchase in Sims 2. That came with Seasons. I wish that was offered again with the Sims 4.

Yeah it would definitely make sense for Seasons too, especially since it was in Sims 2 then.

There is a lightning rod upgrade for hte Eco Lifestyle Wind Turbine (the ground one, I don't think the roof one has this option).

    However

I have an upgraded turbine on my lot right now, and it seems to do basically nothing.

    • I have had 4 window boxes destroyed to ash piles (really annoying if you can't remember the item that was there to replace it)
    • Another plant debug  item was turned to ash
    • My outdoor burglar alarm was struck
    • One of my lights was struck
    • My sales table was struck
    • My chess table was struck

I'm still having to deal with multiple items being destroyed even with this lightning rod upgrade. I'm fine with it not being a 100% guarantee to hit the turbine but if it tells me "attracts lightening" I expect it to do that.

These lightning storms are way too OTT
