Man attacking woman in game - should this be allowed?!

Hi, I wasn't really sure this counted as a 'bug' as sorts, but feel as though it's something that should be addressed - my female sim was attacked by her ex?! He called her asking to get back together, she invites him over, literally does one friendly interaction and he fights her (without me instigating anything unkind from her). I know sims fight but I felt this scenario (the male basically attacking and starting a fight with a female) was not something that should be allowed - I've played the sims since I was 7 years old, I wouldn't want other kids seeing this let alone thinking this was okay. (God forbid a teenage boy sees this too). Has anyone else found this and is there somewhere I can complain about this officially?

  • Is this because it’s specifically a man attacking specifically a woman? If so, I don’t think there should be exception like this when things get physical… no one should be allowed to lay their hands on ANYONE, but that’s what happens in life, and that’s probably why it’s a thing in the sims.

I’ve forgotten so please remind me: when two sims break up, does their friendship meter go into the negatives? Sims with a negative relationship are bound to do mean interactions no matter the gender.

  • It sounds as if it's a part of this bug where sims will autonomously and without reason do mischief against one another.  One thing I've noticed is another part of this bug is that the "fight" interaction is always available regardless of situation and that sims will use it autonomously without provocation. You can vote me too on the bug here: Sims constantly doing mischief | EA Forums - 12578015

It sounds like you have the roughhousing encouraged NAP enabled in the neighborhood. I suggest you repeal it.
