Modifications to Romantic Socials on Furniture?

Something I've noticed is that certain socials under the romance category aren't really compatible with furniture, especially beds. For example, if your Sim uses the "hold hands" social, they will cancel any current sitting action instead of just multitasking like how they would with a TV. (I'm sorry if this sounds really nitpicky, I've just been out of ideas lately and thought this might help).
