It's not my choice.
I just post and follow the game rating and forum regulations.
My mods and private gameplay are never posted here or requested for gameplay updates in a teen rated game.
I have thought many times that Maxis/EA could make a fortune if they would put out a full blown adult version of the sims and hire in mod creators to put it all in there as we know they can do. Supply and demand ya know. I find it funny that the fortunes to be made are ignored. They wouldn't lose business because those not interested would keep on buying the regular version and those who are would put out quite a bit to convert their existing to an adult account by providing ID for proof of age, and then go their merry way. Or license another company to do it and require the game to be called something like The Sims 4 Unfiltered so people couldn't pretend to not know what they were getting. But I am just a consumer so what do I know lol. :)
Many people would love the functionality mods give them for basic gameplay stuff, but don't want to use third party stuff. And many are the same for the adult mod stuff. It is all too much to keep track of, updated, what is safe and what is not.

I agree. We need to take caution with any mod that we put in our games and always keep them updated to the latest patch.

Well I gave up mods because of troubleshooting a game changing issue I was experiencing. And the more I get into different stuff, the more problems seem to arise. Not all problems are from delving into new packs and just seem to appear out of the blue and for no reason, and they want everything troubleshooted with no mods. So I am doing my best not to use them again because it is just too much. But then the limitations of the game without certain mods, like dog walking, better butlers, elevator/portals is starting to wear on me too. I feel like I'm darned if I do and darned if I don't.

I have one mod that covers this whole topic in my game. It's base game and I get alerts in my game when I need to update it so it's not an issue for me. I only have 3 core mods that I have to keep track of and they are all active mods that update with each patch.
It's really not that hard if you know what you are putting into your game and make sure everything in your game is updated. I would not play this game without them.
