Repair Our Games
Sul Sul Everybody, while it is great to see our wish list for future packs and content... Most of us are overlooking the most valuable point.... REPAIRING OUR GAMES.
It has been found that the amount of DLC EA provides is becoming too much for our base game to handle as it is. And while I respect EA's decision to keep us with the Sims 4 due to the amount of money we've all invested and time put into these games... plus too in knowing there is still so much more that can be experienced and introduced, none of this will matter if we continue to have to deal with the broken game content that still exists.
If we all look to the EA reports of broken content, you will learn there are 1,100 broken contents among all the packs thus far. That is waaaaay toooo much don't you think? Further more, many of the what is broken or is still left missing from the update that took place a while back has been ignored or put so far back on the burner that it has left many of our packs virtually unplayable. And yet we are asking for more????? Where is the sanity in this folks?
What really got me is this last questionnaire that I found to be a bit of a joke is when EA is looking as to why some players have chosen to stop playing the game or have taken a break from playing these games. The only real two issues EA was willing to look into was how we felt about the our abilities to relate to the game and what more content can be added to keep us interested. NEVER once did they ask the real question that they should be addressing and should know is the REAL issues here... THE GAME IS BROKEN. Duh! LOL.
Here is the list of some of the most outstanding that has either never been addressed or has remained broken for over a year....
- For Rent Pack Bugs: This pack continues to be plagued with issues. Players report frequent furniture and appliance combustion, disappearing books and food from bookshelves and refrigerators, and a broken pressure cooker emitting a perpetual green gas. Rental lots can become unplayable due to these issues.
- Missing and Broken Items: Numerous build mode clutter items are unavailable or have incorrect tags, preventing cloning or searching by name. Examples include Base game: Spice of Life Spice Rack, HSY: Battling Chess Knight Figurines, Paranormal: Book of Silhouettes, Moschino: The Photographer's Irritation, Pastel Pop: Fondly Felted Floral Creation, Life & Death: The Macabre Writer's Quill , Life & Death: Johnny the Jarred Ghost, Spa Day: Nail Care Basics, Cottage Living: Are you well, Well?, Lunar Expert's Studio and Surreptitiously Studious Stationery Pile.
- Improper Tagging: Some objects also lack proper styling or color tags, making them difficult to use in specific builds. Additionally, some objects included in updates lack color options available in other similar sets.
- Swatch Tool Not Working for the Following Items: Antique Blocks- Storybook Nursery Kit, Tiny Teacher Blocks-Base Game, Country Cottage Dining Chair-Base Game, Toy Doctor sets- Base Game.
- Graphic Glitches: Rounded platforms display gaps and bleed flooring onto the surrounding main floor
- Autonomy Problems: Sims continue to display unwanted autonomous behaviors, such as judging decor, constantly using phones in social settings, and raiding refrigerators or making themselves too at home during visits. when turned off still does not keep sims from doing things we don’t want them to do or it leaves them standing still when we issue things for them to do.
- Broken Interactions: Reading to toddlers/children is inconsistent, needing multiple clicks to initiate. Certain chair and desk combinations prevent Sims from using computers unless they sit first. Queued actions are frequently dropped. Fairies cannot be shooed from potted plants.
- NPC and Career Issues: Food stall attendants still require payment on community lots, despite player feedback against this. Maid service is unreliable, with maids not returning as scheduled. There are reports of a job promotion bug.
- Guest Won't Leave When Our Sims Say Goodbye: We realize our sims may be made so darn likeable that no one wants to leave, but it is getting ridiculous. Our Sims say goodbye to visitors and guests and yet the other sim(s) will say good bye then keep talking, or help themselves to our TVs, dance to the radio, take food from our fridge, or take a bath in our bathtub :earaised_eyebrow:???? When we politely ask them to leave... please make them leave.
- Save Corruption: This remains a critical issue, with reports of a four-red save file corruption bug still being investigated.
- Game Stability: Frequent crashing, especially during saving, entering/leaving households, and when multiple ghosts are present, remains a problem for some players.
- Laundry Day: Washer and dryers break everyday the sims use them. This is far too frequent, making these items useless and unplayable as intended. Sims need to wash and or dry their cloths more than once on a frequent basis, again making these items useless and unplayable as intended.
- City Living: A rug called " The Colorful Beneath" continues to have a black background, which never used to be the case. This we find makes it a bit difficult to work with.
- Cats and Dogs: A picnic table called "Outdoor Patio Piece” when placed on community lots does not count as picnic tables when some lots require them, rendering these welcomed tables useless for such lots and a waste of such an awesome addition to our games.
- Dream Home Decorator: Some of the modular shelving tends to disappear from the home after saving when ever we use the eyedropper prior or use the cheat “move objects on” to set items unto the shelving where no slot is made available, but would have been nice if it did count as a workable slot.
Sims are continuously wanting to judge their décor/furnishings no matter if in the middle of building up their skills, cooking a meal, or even when autonomy is turned off. This obsession gets in the way of much needed tasks.... including getting to work on time.
Other Very Important Requests Still Being Ignored:
Make Community Haunted Houses. Ever since the Paranormal Pack came out, many of us have requested that homes, which included the one that came with the pack and businesses be playable on community lots and not just experienced in residential homes. This will really elevate our game play and creative endeavors to a whole other level. This should have been included in the pack, so please consider this as a fix to improve upon this gameplay experience.
Food Stall Attendants Still require payment on all Community lots. This is yet another big complaint among many sim players. Why should our sims have to pay for attendants on community lots? We can understand the need when on home lots. But if we should not have to pay for attendees on community lots in real life... why should we need to in the game? It matters not that money can be rather easily attained in the game, that is beside the issue. And what if we want our sims to live a more “modest”, simpler lifestyle for our storyline? It makes it more difficult to have to pay for attendants.
Making Mirrors and Curtains Adjustable. This has been an ongoing request for a looong time. Some curtains you have created simply do not sit right on all window selections and since we are rather limited in curtain choices... it would be nice that we can adjust their heights and width more accordingly without the use of mods. And yes, the demand is so high there is mods for this too. The very same applies on all counts with mirrors. We like to place them above various dressers, fireplaces, etc. But due to the location these mirrors are placed renders many of them useless.
So, while we can still dream of what we wish to see in these games next... Don't you think we should all pull together to get these major issues addressed first? Otherwise... we can keep adding more upon the broken and corrupt... but don't expect them to work well, if at all... and soon you can and will find... these games may one day not work at all. What then? We've just invested hard-earned money on bad.
Dag Dag and blessings to all.
