I feel that if just we got some specific balances (and of course fixes) we'd have a good amount of players feel better about Sims 4 as a whole.
If we are never getting CAStyle, then at the very least all BB should have matching swatches across all packs/kits/etc. (too many cross pack swatches do not have a level of harmony in colour swatches, so you cannot always use items from all packs because there are 6+ wood colours, 4+ golds (or gold accents), many greys and blacks, etc.—that do not match.
Trait update/overhaul, make traits actually determine personality and autonomy. I reviewed traits internal files, and though many newer traits have more effort than older packs and base game. Without determining autonomy that is apt to the over all character/traits created—Sims just do not feel unique.
More toggles to turn off certain pack features (and do not pretend there isn't a myriad of features that have been asked to have disable feature toggles for). I'd toggle off midlife crisis, phone calls, texts, prompts to add formative moment, go on getaways, etc. and many even buy more packs just for CAS/BB if I could turn off the constant pop ups telling me about the packs I have installed through gameplay (I am avoiding HSY/DU for example).
