Roofs on/with Half Walls

I have been having trouble getting the house I've been building to look as the way the roof of the house intersects with a balcony I'm making kind of irritates me. I wish they could add roofs that could be placed on half walls to get it so the roof of the house was just a bit higher rather than having to use full scale walls.
