Stop with in game ads

Since Sims 1 I've purchased almost every add-on. Sometimes not right away because I want to enjoy one at a time.  I just had ChatGPT total the transactions I have directly with EA starting from 2008 and that was $950, and that doesn't include the packs I've picked up at stores. 

I stopped playing for 7 months and just came back again. This is the first time I just don't want to play or buy anything anymore and it's all thanks to your incredibly annoying ads. I've spend so much money on this game and it pisses me off to no end that after all of that it doesn't matter.. we're given this s**ty experience. I should be given an option to turn off these ads. I don't want whatever event you are using to advertize this pack in game. I just want the games i've purchased so far. When it's time for me to add that expansion I will.  

I know the base game is free, but you are now treating the people who have literally given you thousands dollars like we're the ones who are playing the free base game.

Honestly, I think this has annoyed me enough to not buy another product until something changes.  I'm done. I might play the older games for nostagia. Sims 2 was the best out of all of them tbh.. (the animations have just gotten lazy over the years you don't even have cars pick up your Sims anymore.. whats with that?). 

Anyway, I'm putting this out there incase there are others like me who are just feed up with paying for content and getting ADs & a terrible experience in return.

I booted up The Sims 4 today and had to click through 2 full screen ads before I could choose to resume my game.  Once I loaded my game, I got a shiny cart notification at the top screen, effectively amounting to another ad.

By this point, I have spent hundreds of dollars on this game.  You don't need to squeeze more out of me with ads.  If you're hurting for cash, stop paying your CEO so much instead of making your game actively worse for people to play.

If you absolutely must preserve the excessive ads, consider reducing them so they only show up for players that haven't spent any money on the game.  You're a business; you need to make money.  I get it.  But you're making your product user-hostile at this point, and it feels gross.

true its so annoying I almost have all packs and I dont wanna see ads for packs that I wont buy constantly

I am no longer willing to play or purchase anything from EA games until the in-game advertising stops.  I have played Sims  since the first game in the franchise began.  I have purchased almost every single pack for each version of the game, yet I am constantly prompted in-game to purchase the 2 packs that I have decided not to purchase.  This is unacceptable advertising and should be stopped.  I hope it does because I would like to continue to play.

i think the cart button did advertise stuff i already had. 

I can hardly remember, I goes to "angry modlet" mode, and just close the pop up / dismiss the notification as fast I can. 

I get confused every time there's a UI update for the homepage. I don't like the ads and recommended packs (which is basically anything). I think it recommended me a pack I already had once too.  Still does it with the sleek bathroom kit which I already have too... but maybe that's a permanent ad for showing that it's new.  I also agree that it would be nice not to have ads since we already pay for all the DLC.  I still do like that there is a store tab though to see if there's a sale and what packs I don't have ...which have come out new. 

Just restarted the game, two pop up, two notification, then the cart button.. 

Want me to but the DLC ? Make sure I want to play the game so I have a motivation to buy more content for it, don't disgust me from it.

Full-screen ads in the main menu of The Sims 4 have become a nightmare. Every day, when I open the game, I have to deal with the pack promotion ad, as well as the event ad (which I have already completed). The situation has reached such a critical point that players are starting to create mods to get rid of them. Many players on social media are complaining about this. The experience in the main menu has become tiring and very intrusive, and I think you need to do something about it.
