Suggestion: Allow Editing of Deceased Family Members in the Family Tree

Hello Sims Team,

I love creating my own worlds — changing the appearance, names, and backstories of default NPCs to make them more visually appealing, more realistic, and more reflective of the environment I live in.

I'm also really excited about the new Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack. I want to integrate these existing royal families into my world and transform them into something that fits my vision — for example, a royal family inspired by historical Chinese dynasties.

Here's the issue: I can rename and remodel living members just fine, but deceased ancestors in the family tree are completely uneditable. This makes the entire family tree look incredibly jarring and inconsistent.

I understand that the family tree has little impact on live gameplay, but I still really want the ability to edit the names and appearances of deceased ancestors. Building a believable five-generation royal family from scratch is extremely difficult — especially when all I really want is to add an interesting historical backdrop to my current world.

Would it be possible to make deceased family members editable in a future update? Even just basic name and appearance editing would make a huge difference for players who love world-building and storytelling.

Thank you for considering this suggestion!
