Suggestion: Update Willow Creek
Base game worlds, compared to old and new DLCs worlds, need some improvements. Seeing other peoples reviews about Willow Creek always go with to the flatness problem and i agree.
Willow Creek really lacks the bioiversity from New Orleans swamps, but also the care to make it look natural, well made. And the fact that we witnessed the great work The Sims team could put into making the DLCs world makes it much more difficult to accept what we got.
I feel like, based on New Orleans but not a replica, Willow Creek should express the natural swampy and cultural eerie vibe of it, having a great use of treatment the neighborhoods like Forgotten Hollow, Moonwood Mill, Mourningvale and Tomarang got. Making it more natural, mysterious, wild, interesting and different from the many bright green worlds.
LANDSCAPING SUGGESTIONS:
- Less saturated and more warm filter (more yellowish?): It'd make the world much more realistc, cozy and welcoming.
- Fog at least near water bodies: It'd give Willow Creek the eerie vibe New Orleans have with it's mysthical/paranormal culture.
- Add more plants to the world like at least next to the natural water bodies: Currently Willow Creek looks like arborized green desert really shallow and artificial with its vegetation that's is usually seen as adapted to the rivers ecossystem so we should see lots of trees next to other and lots of small and medium plant fulfilling the ground like tall grass, ferns, bushes, small palms, clustered trees and aquatic trees/grass.
- Turn the water darker and mossy/leafy: Almost every photo i see there's this dark/green water usually with lots of moss, leaves, liliypads and parts of trees so this would make it much more accurate and aesthetically pleasing.
- Add the pond effects to the water bodies: I really miss seeing in the game all the biodiversity i see in photos of NO's swamps and I really think they could give more life and personality to the world. (And the crocs could be the reason why they don't swim on rivers)
So in general these suggestions are meant to make the world feel more natural and get an actual swamp vibes, creating a better atmosphere for gameplay.Photo by: BakieGaming
