Sweet Allure not so sweet. Just recycled CAS items from other packs

HOW is this acceptable?

I know this creator rehashes and re-does this on their website/patreon, but I never thought you'd even allow something like this to let a creator frankenmesh clothing.  It's not enough we have this happen in packs with objects and other CAS items, but now it's acceptable with creator packs?  A CAS focused kit that one thinks is bringing some new and unique pieces but in reality they don't.

Players paying real money for this official content when they can get this for free from the same CC creator that frankenmesh clothing with being a patreon or not. There is such a huge skill gap in comparison to other creators that make their own items.

Examples?

Dream home decorator top. Even the textures themselves are the same.

Sleeves for the top is also from Crystal Creations that another user pointed out for me.

Sweet Allure shirt on the left with the base game cardigan on the right and below Perfect Patio stuff shirt.

Sweet allure high-waisted pants and Love Struck jeans.

It's all so blatantly obvious in a in your face way it's such so disappointing. Is ANYTHING in this pack even original? Would not have had bought this otherwise. It's not acceptable for players to be getting this. How can I trust buying anything from this company anymore? It's literally gotten to a breaking point where these shady practices just don't fly. Indefinitely not buying anything anymore until this is rectified.

Do better with this.

This is how they generally create "new" stuff.  They copy an object and change 1 thing about it and it is now a "new item".

Pharmaceutical companies do this all the time!  They can legally change 1 ingredient and give the entire product a new name with a new trademark and call it a new drug.  Same thing with outfits and objects.

This behavior is very common amongst the capitalist society we have today.   It is also the reason why we have so many bugs in the game.

However, I am going to get the basement treasures because it indeed does have "new" objects.... not at all in my game!

I just find it baffling people will sing praises about packs like this just because of X creator, when it's the same thing this company does. Just such low effort and worst of all a lot of this is stuff they have similar CC that's just rehashed. Unfortunately console players don't have the choice of a free option for said CC that's just franken meshed that's in your face obvious.

Just feels very scammy and the fact that sims studio okayed this is just wild.

WHY do we have accept mediocracy like this? The more we do the more we get it in CAS, build/buy and especially gameplay. Just gotten worse over the years.

For a CAS focused pack you'd expect better and more room for more unique pieces.

  • Most of these ,I don't see an issue. The thing is most people don't buy everypack. So they don't have every item. For one I do not have crystal creation and the only similarity are the sleves.

Love struck jeans the similarity is the shape, but the texture ,color, and design is different.

  • For real I'm like most of the clothing is going on repeat even with the expansion packs but it's not only the clothing it's the hair they just add another clip or bangs or flip the hair a different way but it's the same style.

It probably wouldn't be as bad if it may have been one item here or something, but there's just no original pieces opposed to maybe the shoes? Don't think it'd be a viable excuse because some people don't have said back. That's much like them recycling various objects from another pack.

I expected these pieces to be pretty unique since the style did look cute and a little different for styles we don't have in game (other than the shoes), but seeing blatantly in your face recycled objects just really sours this pack for me.

  • I have no issue with EA frankenmeshing their own stuff- if the end result is a legitimate new piece of clothing, who cares? Most of these pieces- the pants excluded- are clearly different pieces, whether they're made of older ones or not. When it comes to game dev that kind of thing is efficient and in theory means more content can be made in general.

But for a kit made by a third party, with a limited number of items regardless of how the content is made (there'd be X amount of pieces in this kit if they were all brand new or all frankenmeshed), it's not cool. I really do think they need to address if this was done with consent or encouragement by EA, or if this is something they just *did* and nobody noticed or questioned.

As it stands, it really looks like they paid a creator to reuse content that creator didn't make, that came from various paid content packs. And that's a different thing versus EA doing it themselves, repurposing their own stuff, and knocking out more items as a result. It's sketchy and it's strange in this context. It's embarrassing IMO. I cannot imagine being paid and contracted to work officially on the game and...making several pieces out of content I didn't make and down have ownership over. Really embarrassing stuff.
