The New Lost Legacies Event

Unlike some folks I actually like the events and have never have had a technical issues with them like not getting my items. What I am posting about is strictly suggestions for improvements to the offerings during the event. I welcome any suggestions for same. Please don’t comment about how much you hate events for this topic it isn’t constructive.

Things that would have been better to add

•  Instead of the Piano Books (a skill easily learned in Game), how about new Piano Sheet Music to famous Classical Works
  • Chopin’s Funeral March for Life & Death
  • Girl with the Flaxen Hair by Claude Debussy for BG 
  • Prelude to the Afternoon with a Faun by Claude Debussy for Enchanted by Nature
• Instead of the Logic Book I would have done New Sheet Music for the Pipe Organ - Tocata & Fugue in G Minor
• Matching Slippers to the Luxurious Robes
• Instead of Satisfaction Points (which are easily gotten in game) how about another Recipe for Baking like the Sacher Torte for example
• Instead of Potions (that you can get yourself in game) how about 1 New Alchemy/Potion Recipe for ROM & 1 New Herbalism Remedy.
• A large Floor Length Mirror that conceals a Hidden Door
• I think there should have been a Key for the Straud Family considering he’s at least a Count.

Summary for this Event & Future Ones

• Filler Rewards should be replaced with Recipes (Cooking, Baking, Mixology, Herbalism Recipes, etc.) and Sheet Music for one of the Instruments
• I would also suggest a few specific Updates to already in Game items 
  • Punch Bowls 
    • Egg Nog, Smoking Bishop & Wassail for December Events
    • For October Events I would suggest two new designs Gothic & Cauldron
  • Buffet Table & Dining Table Cloths
    • Lunar New Year - Featuring one of the Animals for every year the Sims 4 has been around and the remaining every year there after we receive one for free not tied to any event as a gift. 
    • St. Patrick’s Day, Diwali, Octoberfest, and Pride (if we don’t have it) I would not put them into any events I would however include them into free Updates 
  • Holiday Light Color Combination
    • Green & White
    • Green, Purple, Yellow
    • Hot Pink & Clear
    • Orange
    • Orange & Purple  
    • Rainbow
    • Red & Clear 
• October & December should have events whereby you can get points for Logging in AND Quests it should be for the Full Calendar month and be VERY well advertised. This to ensure those who are away can get reasonably caught up. 
• December event Rewards could be
  • Father Winter’s Throne - an item that bring’s Father Winter to a Community Lot 
    • Takes Pictures with 
      • Sims Families
      • Children & Babies
      • Cats & Dogs 
    • Father Winter will ask Children what they want for Snowflake Day
  • Songs in Simlish for Radio or able to Sing (They’re all public domain)

• Lunar New Year could use a two week event
• A Theme I came up with is - Count Vladislaus Straud’s Crimson Masquerade, its ambitious for an event. A combination of Venice’s Carnaval, The movie Van Helsing and The Cask of the Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe
  • Masquerade Ball as new Event - as both for the Month long event and as an update to the list of events we can set up in game.

  • Fancy Masquerade Clothing
  • New Lot Designation - Ballroom
  • A few new radio songs or Sheet music 
  • Mixology Recipes
  • Evening Wear styled Outerwear 
  • Red, Black & Gold as the colors for Items
  • Updo’s for ladies  
• Another Event I had for Spring Time was the Garden Judging & Flower Show
  • Introduces a new Event Garden Show 
  • Questing Involves satisfying the Judges and winning a trophy 
    • Judges should wear Suits/Dresses with Sashes, Boutonnières or even a bowler. All judges for the event should be elders
  • Pattern the show event after the Chelsea Flower Show
  • Colors for the event should be Teal, Pink, Green
