Why did the UI, Loading Screen, and Overall Feeling Change?

I logged onto The Sims⁴ for the first time in a while(I've been playing Sims games since The Sims³, mind you.) and much to my disdain the home screen felt more like a battle royale game(you know the one.) I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of the change was as I thought it was perfect on its own— it was just enough of the old games and just futuristic enough to love. I'm sure everyone has mixed opinions on it, but I'd like to know why they felt the need to change something that was already so perfect? I feel like im playing a different game when I log on and it makes me not want to play it anymore(I've spent 100's of dollars on this game). Sorry if this comes off as rude but I wish there was a way I could set it to the old way.
