All Sims travel together despite only sending one travel with one sim and everyone in the household comes with, even if they were at school or work

Is this all Sims within the household or also non-household Sims ?
Can you send them home ?
Hey! I have the same problem where my whole Household travels when I only intend to travel with one. One example would be my teen sim going to high school, where my 3 other Sims travel with her through the join option. I can send them back home, but it is annoying when the other Sims are at work and get forced to the location I'm traveling to.
Can someone help with that?
edit: just had a date with my sim and the whole household joined. i couldn't send them back home (the button was grey) as if they were part of the date. I only could send them home after the date had ended.
