[ARCHIVED] Happy Home Login Event: Claimed items disappear

Unfortunately as has been said before the rewards are indeed tied to the usersetting.ini file in the ea>sims4 folder. Losing this file means losing the rewards so if you can manage to copy the file that "contains" the code of the collected items, you could paste it in the sims 4 folder of your other laptop.

That said my problem seems in fact my notebook. I don't have any mods installed, and i noticed that I lose the rewards when the notebook won't load properly (it looks like sometimes it boots into safe mode by itself because it has trouble loading my user Idk why), but by doing so I keep losing this file, so I'm backing up the usersetting.ini file and the save file where i used these items (to be sure) and put it back in the sims 4 folder it every day. Seems to work for now, but I don't think I'll keep going like this for long, too much work considering that on one hand my notebook is a bit slow but on the other the ea app is very buggy and I more often than not get server error or connectivity error messages. @Soanad if you're logged onto a different computer, the disappearance may make sense as rewards are entered into UserSettings.ini file. That's located in the main path Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and should be found near or at the bottom. You can try to copy/paste your UserSettings file from one computer to another if you're using multiple. If you have a flash drive handy, save the file on one in order to transfer it. 

For those of us using the very same PC, I suppose our issues with obatining rewards remain a mystery. Anyhow, you might try the copy/paste method. Perhaps it may return your acquired rewards to your second computer. Best luck.

I play with multiple Sims 4 folders based around my mod sets. On my usual game folder I logged in and collected all three of the week one daily login rewards but today when I switched to a different folder the login progress was reset and the rewards were missing. My first thought was simply "Oh well, I guess I'll have to login with every folder." Then I decided to check with a freshly generated folder and it was also missing the progress and rewards. This is a bit of a concern because sometimes generating a new folder is a necessary step in fixing a broken game. My internet connection is FAR too slow for me to test if this also happens when you uninstall and reinstall your game but I'm guessing it would since you'd be starting with a new Sims 4 folder. I just wanted to bring this to someone's attention because I imagine this could end up upsetting a lot of players in the long run.

That is ridiculous! I don’t have access to my main computer and of course I’m not crazy to take freaking saves with me everywhere.

They tell you to log in, you log in and claim the reward and you think that’s it. Nope. Of course not. You have to take your saves with you and replace files! And what if you would like to reset your game and create whole new EA folder? You loose your rewards!

I think that’s it for me. It’s just getting worse and worse. They can take these rewards and put them you know where.

Thank you!! I was looking all over the place and somehow missed that. That solution really is not a good one long term but at least there is a solution and they're aware of the problem.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Claim daily login rewards. Rename your The Sims 4 folder (Documents > Electronic Arts). Start the game. Alternatively, claim rewards, buy a new computer, install the game, and start the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Previously claimed rewards are now locked and must be claimed again.
What do you expect to see? Claimed rewards stay claimed on my account, whether or not I'm using the exact same Documents folder.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Installed the patch for 1.107.151.1020 (as far as I know, the issue existed before this though)

Due to antivirus issues (files refuse to update properly), I do a folder refresh when I update my game. My claimed rewards reset when I did that.

This is due to the claimed rewards being stored in UserSettings.ini, which is now in my old The Sims 4 folder. An easy fix, since I still have that folder AND know where the data is, but not so easy if I had deleted it to start fresh, or if I did it because of file corruption, or if I was moving to a new computer.

I claimed all of the week 1 rewards and some of the week 2 rewards. However, after today’s update the game is asking me to start from the beginning by claiming week 1 rewards.
