Bring back remove floor tile!!

I find not being able to remove floor tiles the single most frustrating thing in the Sims 4 

I want to create a dramatic double height hall way that isn't separate to the landing above because its an irregular shape. In addition to that, removing part of the wall to make way for the stairs to enter the landing means that the building has put the exterior trim around some of the interior walls and no longer recognises the hall void as an interior space. 

The games Build mode is far too automatic for its own good, many aspects are fabulous and a real improvement. the roofing trim extension is wonderful, but i would also love to be able to edit the walls for the roof. 

I have recently purchased the game having been a fan of the Sims 2, I have skipped sims 3. Sims two was amazing in build mode. Please bring back many of the wonderfully free build options. 

Also a fan of the stages for split level.
