Bulid Mode And CAS not working since update.

Hey Everyone,

im coming on here because i want to know if anyone is having the same issue as me since the update,

problems:-

1. Bulid Mode:- so basically my bulid mode doesn't work at all. I click to build a house and the tab that shows the furniture etc doesn't appear meaning i can't build anything at all.

2. CAS mode:- Cas mode doesnt even load it stays stuck on the loading screen meaning i can't even create a sim.

i've unistalled every single mod i had so theres no mods being used and ive unistalled and resinstalled the game and its still the same. 

so basically my game is unplayable.

if theres anyway i can report this to EA or The Sims 4 creators themseleves please let me know. I've been on live chat with EA but theres nothing they can do on there obivously.

    @kyliepritch97  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know what problems, if any, are still present.

    @kyliepritch97  Please try playing in a new admin Windows account.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account.  (You'll be asked to answer some security questions instead.)  You won't need to reinstall the game; it should already be playable.  Let me know which issues show up in this account.

    I did as you said and it’s still the same problem build mode doesn’t work neither does CAS

    I have been dealing with a similar issue. In CAS for me, the traits aren't there. Literally, gone. I can't click around where the traits would be and if I hit the randomize button I still can't see any traits.

    I'm experiencing the same issues with build mode. I lost some gamplay due to my game glitching when I hit build mode. The build mode music played, but the UI disappeared and none of build mode displayed at all. Thankfully CAS still works for me, however, I cannot for the life of me switch sims. I've tried pressing space (the shortcut) & it doesn't switch until I PAUSE the game. When I go back to regular speed, I cannot switch sims. I'm stuck having to click the sim I want, PAUSE, then it will switch to that sim, and THEN I can press play again. How do I even fix that?!

    @kyliepritch97  Please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Sims 4 and the EA App, as described here:

    @caitlinhageni  Please test in a clean user folder, as I described in post 2, and let me know which problems are still present.
