Burglars?

Can anyone confirm or deny whether this is a thing?  https://www.reddit.com/r/Sims4/comments/tflh1j/are_we_just_not_talking_about_how_this_was_added/

    The post is now deleted, it was a mod. I don’t think the team would add such things as burglars without announcement + toggle to disable.

    Generally, I would not trust such posts on reddit. It’s not the first time which a user say is a vanilla feature and then was just a mod. Most player on reddit don’t bother to test such things in a vanilla game and console/vanilla(PC) player are rare there.

    I am not a fan of burglars and don’t need it in my game. I hate already the klepto-trait and remove this trait from ever sims. (Specially hate paparazzi in a vanilla game because they need this trait) I’m not a fan when townies remove things from my builds. I would rather have 20 kids which make mess as one single klepto townie (sadly I don’t have this option in my vanilla game)

    If Burglars had been added you would have seen a lot of postings about it but there are none. A single posting on reddit claiming they have does not count.. I have seen mentions of a mod that adds it.

    Yeah, the OP insists they don't have Carl's Mod which includes Burglars, but I'm suspicious. (I think Life's Tragedies also has burglars, but could be wrong.) It certainly looks like Carl's burglars...

    I mainly wanted to see if other people were seeing them or if it was just this one person on Reddit.

    Yeah, TBH I was hoping it was a hoax, so I'm glad that it turned out to be false. (Sorry, burglar fans! I don't want to deny you burglars if you want them but I would love to be able to turn them off...)
