Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?

Start a wedding event in the Dutch version of the game. Click on the wedding arch an you see several blank buttons to click on. It happens on all wedding arches and on all lots I have tested so far
What happens when the bug occurs?

I have no idea what button does what.
What do you expect to see?

Text to tell me which button to see for which action.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?

No, I created a blank new sims 4 folder without mods to test.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?

Yes, patch 18 september 2024

The patch notes that added new interactions in the patch of 18 september 2024 say "The text of these new interactions above will be translated into all supporting languages in an upcoming release."

Is it please possible to add the english text while we wait in the hopes that this gets added in the future? I waited for the laundry list to be published but yesterdays laundry list made no mention of this issue. Blank icons just turn wedding into a weird guessing game. Text in another language is better than no text at all.

I would recommend to report it in the language forums although as it's even in the patch notes (thanks for the link that finally answered my questions about why it was working before) and they said it's going to be added I don't think Maxis needs to be made aware.

@atreya33 try repairing your game. MWS should have all the translation.

There are sometimes issues with the files not properly loading but that's usually solved by repairing the game.

I tried repairing my game and it did not help.
I would like to point out that this issue started after the 18 september update and the the patch notes explicitely list under my wedding stories "The text of these new interactions above will be translated into all supporting languages in an upcoming release." So by the text of the patch notes it sounds like MWS does not have a full translation of the "improvements"
I just hope we can get the English text while we wait for a proper translation. Because blank icons really are useless.
The updater yesterday of 22/10/2024 didn't fix this.

@atreya33 Do you have a dutch language string file in the following folders ?

Did it never work for you ? Did you check the dutch forum if there's more reports ? I've not seen any reports for this personally which is why I think you should at least have something displaying.

Do you have dutch string files in the GP11 folder in your installation folder ? Both in the folder in the Sims 4 and in Delta ?

Yeah, this is not your issue, it is a generally problem with all languages except Englisch. I agree with you that this is unprofessional for such a big company.

Here you have a report from german which confirmed it: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Allgemeine-Diskussion/SAMMLUNG-Fehlerhafte-Ubersetzungen-und-Textfehler/td-p/6381026/page/10 -> #94 and answer from EA community manager #98. This patch was not the patch which *fixed* it. The community manager wrote that it gets fixed later, so this can be months or years.

It's nearly impossible to determine what these blank bubbles do, except that one of them plays a wedding march.
P.S.: If you check the queue, you'll notice this interaction also has a blank bubble.
By the way, I deleted my Strings file (Strings_POR_BR.package) from the GP11 folder and attempted to repair it using the EA App, but that didn’t resolve the issue.

I'm having the same problem when playing The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories in Brazilian Portuguese.
Some interactions are not translated. Some of them are simply blank, with no text, and others just have “…”. This is preventing us from knowing what these interactions are about.

I today saw this samer problmen, and same with the wedding pathway (sorry don't know what it is called in English)
