Can’t Open Retail Store

My family bought a retail store and I can’t transfer funds to it to open it. I tried to sell items in build mode and the funds do not go to the store. The business funds still say $0. I can click open store from the register but it brings in random workers and no one really buys anything. I can’t track store metrics and sales do not show in business funds. They do not live in a rental property and I have no CC or mods. Please help!
