@shadowyleopard Okay... I have done experimentation about this, and though my findings may be incorrect and there are ways around the barriers I ran into, I thought I would share what happened in my game...
- I added my adult cat to the home I have with a scientist.
- I had the scientist create a cloning machine.
- I had the scientist upgrade the cloning machine so that 'clone a sim' was possible.
- I found that the cat would not walk onto the cloning machine by itself, even if I walled it into a tiny room.
- If I move the machine to where the cat is the cat just moves next to the machine or out of the room when the machine is placed.
- I had scientist pick up the cat and tried to request she put the cat onto the cloning machine. It was not an option and she would not do it.
- When I click on the upgraded cloning machine and ask the scientist to clone a sim, the other sims in the household do show up as options to clone, but not the (adult) cat or the (adult) dog.
So... I am assuming that the answer is no, the cat cannot be cloned.
