Can no longer edit roofs with my mouse

FlamingoKicker​  If you are using mods and CC, try building in save without mods and CC active.  Don't just turn them off in Game Options, move the mod folder out or the Sims 4 folder.  See if that makes a difference.

That is exactly what I did.  Didn't make any difference.  I'm beginning to love the look of flat topped buildings.  Very latin looking.  It is so strange because I have been able in the past to edit building from the beginning so I wonder what could have changed?  I have tried removing the Mods follder and Repairing my game and deleting my cache and restarting and then starting a brand new game and still not able to make edits to buildings (rooms,  roofs,  basements, etc.)

FlamingoKicker​ Ok, so, let's try something a little off the wall.  I have noticed that for some reason, issues with my mice have always shown up first with Sims 4.  Idk why but it seems that it does.  Just a guess but maybe you're seeing the same.  So, try changing your mouse batteries if you use a wireless mouse.  That seems to solve mouse issues for me more often than not.  Btw, I use a Logitech mouse (and keyboard) as well.  At times, I also have to turn the mouse off and back on as it will sort of get lost where it is on the screen.  Weird but I like the feel of the mouse, so I put up with it.

OK,  I will try that because nothing else has had any effect.  The mouse only has the difficulty of clicking on the arrows that allow you to resize building blocks (rooms) as well as roofs and move them bigger or smaller.   But it has no difficulty grabbing windows and doors  and anything else and moving them around.

No,  changing the battery out didn't have any effect at all.  But at least now it has a fully charged battery.
