Can't enter CAS at all after new update!

After this new update, I can't enter CAS to make new Sims, change outfits, or plan outfits. I have to completely turn my PC off to get out of the loading screen. My Sims have random negative mood interactions and I can't enter build mode. I can't play the game at all, what a disappointment 😞.

    The accepted solution lists mods and cc known to cause this issue.

    If you see this problem without mods, please continue to use this thread, and try the clean user folder described below.

    Marking this as the solution for visibility.

    @M0z303 Does this happen in a new save when you first try to enter CAS?  Please test if you haven't already.

    If the new save is affected, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start another new save and let me know whether CAS works.

    If the new saves are unaffected, and your main save is only affected after opening a certain sim's Simology panel, you probably have this issue:

    @crinrict Thank you for all your help, it worked on my PC! B.E. showed me a few mods that were causing a UI crash so I deleted them and got back into the game and CAS is working as normal. When I get home I'm gonna check it again and make sure it's still working but I really appreciate the help, I was so frustrated. As far as my PS5 I really don't know what to do on that since there are no mods at all and it still doesn't allow CAS and some traveling. Gonna delete the game and redownload...hopefully that'll work.

    So what did you end up doing? Did you use Better Exceptions? Because my Better Exceptions was scanning forever.

    @mermaidmodel I used it and it showed me the mods that were causing my UI to crash so I deleted them. But it does take you out of the game and you'll choose which browser to open the list which could be why the Better Exceptions didn't load. it could be a mod that's taken over your UI. Look for any mod you've downloaded that changes the game like wonderful whims, ultimate Military or anything like that and move it to your desktop and run the game again with Better Exceptions and see if that works.

    Hi

    Is anybody else still having trouble getting into cas? I want to customize my sim but it just stays at the diamond. It does not look like it is fixed at all.

    Since the Lovestruck updates, I have not been able to load into any household that was made prior to the update. Upon trying to load the household, the game would simply crash to desktop. If I evict said household and move them to a new lot, I can load the household again without crashing. Game was running fine after this fix until I had a sim age up via a birthday cake. Then it was back to crashing on loading the household. After fixing again, I noticed that I cannot load into CAS on any household made prior to the most recent update. Trying to load into CAS results in an endless loading screen. While using mods, this endless loading screen causes a red exception from Twisted Mexi's Better Exceptions mod. Households made post update seem to work fine, but I have not playtested this extensively. I have tried using the Save As feature to create a new save file, but the issues remain. I have repaired my game, cleared the cache, and removed all mods from my game. The issues are the exact same, whether mods are present or not. All fixes have been attempted both with and without mods.

    With the newest expansion pack lovestruck, I've realized that sometimes when I move a Sim into my current household and I try to update their turn ons and offs I'm stuck in an infinite loading screen. I have no mods or CC
