can't load sims

cbannister11​  When the EA App is working and you try to run Sims 4, what happens?  Please describe what you see, and if you get an error message, post a screenshot of it.

Please also let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.

on mac, i don't get an error message it just never loads and if i go to force quit to says not responding

cbannister11​  To be clear, does the EA App work fully some of the time?  And if so, what exactly are you doing that makes it work?  What happens when it doesn't work: do you get an error message, what does it say, etc.?

Please be as detailed as you can, and add a screenshot or two if it helps.

Happening to me as well. I’m on a Mac and it was working just fine before updating my laptop. Now it will not even load it gets stuck with a loading wheel. I can’t press repair or anything in the menu bar. I removed mods etc and tried reinstalling to no avail.

ugh same, ive been cleared the cache, restarted my Mac, re download it for the 7th time and nothing seems to be working

same i haven't been able to load in at all since updating my mac, i have done everything suggested by ea themselves

cbannister11​  Trash the EA App and download a new copy.  When trying to open it, right-click it and select Open.  This gives added permissions.

itssvee​  It looks like you've installed Sims 4 somewhere iCloud Drive is syncing.  That could be the problem here.  Please uninstall the game and reinstall it to the default location:

[Macintosh HD]/Applications/EA Games

You may or may not see the Macintosh HD part; if the file path starts with /Applications, it's correct.
