Cheat/mod to set cottage living npc

I was wondering if anyone knows of a mod or cheat that allow you to manually set the npc's from Cottage Living.
I manually moved the mayor into a house in Henford-on-Bagley and it removed her as the mayor and has defaulted a random sim to be the mayor.

It would be nice to be able to choose the npc or to be able to re-set the sim to be an npc after moving/playing them.

Any suggestions?
