No sensible family would let their children walk the dog alone.

Depends on where you live perhaps.
Also there is no option to walk the dog with parent and child together.

Not really. Among other things kids get severely hurt if the dog decides to chase something or another dog decides to start a fight. But you are right that there are no option to have someone accompany you on a walk.
I have a mod that allows it, but it would be great if they allowed kids more responsibility for pets. So many families say “okay, we’ll get a dog, but you have to take care of them.” I guess it depends how old you think the child stage is. 7? Okay fine, leave the parents in charge. 13 or 14? Yeah, they should be able to walk the dog. Even if a parent comes along.

@Heddelviven I agree, a bit more family-like interaction for children with dogs would be fun. I've seen sensible parents at parks with their children allowing them to walk the family dog.

Teenagers are able to walk the dog in the game (and RL).
- @jpkarlsen Okay, but the teenagers are like 17/18/19. They look the same as adults and are the same height as adults. If I'm imagining a 14 year old kid, I'm still using the child life stage, not teen.

Teenagers have the same height no matter the age because it would be too much work to adjust clothes as they grow. The same goes for children and toddlers. If you want you can get a better idea of their age in Simology. Teenage spans 7 years so with teenage in game taking 21 days 3 days correspond to one year. So easy to calculate their current age.

Children can literally ride horses by themselves, but you don't think it's appropriate for them to walk a dog? What a joke lol
