Please use this thread for issues with week 1 tasks. If you have issues with placing the stuffed friend near stuff, make sure to turn off moveObjects.

I too found that it took a long time for the "put stuffed toy next to the toy box" task to complete. I put the toy next to the toy box and waited it out. I think my child sim did her homework and ate before the game ticked off the task.
I don't know what mechanism is involved, but there does seem to be a lag between completing a task and it being recognized.
This is a clean vanilla test game. New TS4 folder. New save. No CC. No mods.
