Is anybody else having a problem with the literally just released Forever Friends event? I have only just started it and I am stuck at the "Place stuffed animal near a toybox." No matter what toybox I place or stuffed animal I place it literally won't complete it.
Do I need to be using specific items?
I have restarted my game, started a new playthrough and repaired my game but nothing has changed.

Are you using any mods/cc ? I had no issues but I had to make sure the game is not paused and run it for like 10 sec before it completed.
I have no mods or cc. I definitely had the game running and tried every toy box I can think of. I just managed to complete this stage of the event but I'm not entirely sure why it worked this time and not yesterday.
I also had trouble with the last event. I couldn't complete or claim the very last reward.
Mine won't advance past the first task to buy stuffed animal. I bought three different ones and it won't change
It's a new stuffed animal, xena. Did you claim the new one from the event icon (Rewards), upper left hand corner of screen? If not, try to do so and then go into build mode (toys) and see if it's there.
Same here. I've purchased over a dozen stuffed animals and it won't show that the task was completed. Not sure how to advance?
I don't know if you tried that yet, but what worked for me was to place the stuffed animal in my sim inventory and then tell them to place it

It has to be one of the really big stuffed animals. They're kid sized
The game didn't recognize any time I placed the new toy for any of the steps without a lot of having the sim pick it up and take it out and moving it around in build mode. I honestly can't say which step made it work because it wasn't consistent, but with the toybox it wouldn't work with the toy box they already had so I bought a brand new one and dropped it right next to the stuff animal and that worked immediately.
I'm pretty sure you have to place the toy near the dresser??? That's what worked for me at least. When moving both the toybox and the toy around I had the toybox outside and the toy inside right next to the dresser and it worked. Gotta love the Sims 4

This also didn't work for me.
I still cannot get it to trigger that the stuffed toy is next to the toybox. I've tried several toyboxes and tried having my sim place the stuffed animal as well as placing in build mode. Nothing is working.
Putting it in inventory and placing in world also worked for me, thanks!
I am also having trouble with this one. I have tried all the possible solutions listed.
I placed all the toys and all the toy boxes in my game in a room to complete the task
I also cannot get this to work. I’ve used the new stuffed toy and one of the base game ones. I’ve used different toy boxes. I’ve moved it in live mode or build mode. In and out of the inventory. I’m about to give up. No mods, I’m playing on console
Same here! PS5, I unlocked the new stuffed animal, I only have moveobjects on. The first few tasks I passed in a few seconds. I can't seem to pass stuffed animal near a toybox.
I’ve tried closing the game and then reopening it, didn’t work. Restarting the entire console is also not working. I’ve tried in multiple saves, nothing is working. It’s really frustrating :(
