I play on my PlayStation 5 and the new event is not letting me claim anything. On the home event screen it says next reward in 4 days 19 hours and then on the gameplay screen it says please wait and try again as the gnomes try to fix the failure. Is anyone else having this same issue? I’ve been waiting and have been sooo excited for this event to come out 😭 Anything helps!!

I also had this issue. No mods or cheats as well. Game is also fully updated as well.
Have you tried hitting the “repair” button before playing? I did so just now, and it cleared everything up!
I am also experiencing this issue on my pc (Windows 11), and I have no mods or cc. The first week worked without any issue, so I claimed the first 5 rewards, but this week has the event greyed out with a "Please wait and try again as the Gnomes try to fix the failure" message listed. All the items I collected last week show uncollected in the event but unlocked within build mode. I've logged in and out of my game, rebooted, and tried a different day of the week but no luck so far.
Edit: I resolved this for my game by logging out of the EA client and signing back in. My event issue was resolved as soon as I loaded my game again.
5/27/26 Edit: The event was greyed out again today when I logged in, so I repeated the sign out and back into EA I did previously, then reloaded the game which resolved the issue once more. Seeing as the event is a log in based reward system, it makes me wonder if the 'Keep me signed in' client feature isn't conflicting with this event a bit.
5/28/26 Edit: Event was greyed out again, so I repeated the steps above which resolved it once more. I think I've confirmed it's tied to the EA client log in, so I turned that feature off.
5/29/26 Edit: Today I confirmed the event works properly for me if I manually sign into EA instead of using the 'Keep me signed in' client feature through sessions. I then repaired my game, and turned the 'Keep me signed in' setting back on, so I can see if this will resolve the daily error or continue with the same pattern.
5/30/26 Edit: The event was greyed out again with the 'keep me signed in' client feature turned back on. The game repair yesterday didn't fix that, so I've turned the setting back off for now as I'm fairly sure it's linked with my game event.
6/02/26 Edit: My game event seems to be functioning successfully now that I am manually signing into the EA client.
6/05/26 Edit: I turned the 'keep me signed in' feature back on to see if the issue has continued. Will follow up tomorrow.
6/06/26 Edit: I loaded my game today with the 'keep me signed in' setting active. The event was operating correctly, so I left the setting on to see if this is a fluke. I will check again tomorrow.
6/07/26 Edit: My first boot up of the game was with the 'keep me signed in' client feature active, and it showed the event greyed out again, so I signed out and back into the EA client, then reloaded my game which fixed the event once more. This got me curious to test the issue a bit further like I did on day one of this issue, so I circled back to quitting the game and rebooting without closing the EA client session which showed the event greyed out. I quit the game again and rebooted it without closing the client again, and the event was active.
6/08/26 Edit: I continued testing the event bug, and I started by opening and closing the EA client without booting the game (The 'keep me signed in' setting active). On my second client boot up, I loaded the game, and the event functioned successfully.
Next, I closed the game and rebooted it within the same client session. Same result; success. Repeated once more and still it was fine. I closed everything and tried the client reboot again just to confirm but nothing changed thankfully. The event functioned normally today under all of my weird boot up tests.
6/13/2026 Edit: I repeated the bolded steps from 6/8/26, and my event continued to load just fine.
Trying the play the masquerade event and it says the gnomes are trying to fix the failure. Sims team please fix this I love playing the events. I even tried to log out and log back in and nothing. I don't use cheats/mods either.

the same thing is happening to me everything is locked even though I've logged in multiple times a day and it says I've met all the check-ins. I'm on PlayStation 5. I own all DLC.
Ps5 user having same issue and have tried just about all of the suggested fixes I can find on the internet that don’t end with the potential of losing library items and other things. I get the gnome message and can’t click the event but Home Screen shows 3/3 log ins but claim all is greyed out.
Just logging out and back in worked for me. Thanks for the tip!
