Color Blind Support for Sims 4?
I read today of all the new skin tones and sliders coming to the Sims 4 in December. The additional customization is welcomed, but are there any plans to help out us color-blind folks? The ability to...
plenty of games have some basic colorblind mode, or were designed with other ways of differentiating colours other than just looking at them as a person with typical colour vision. it really bothers me having to ask someone for help when I am trying to customise something in video games. like, whose decision was it to not label the colours? it's such a simple thing to do. it's one of the few times i feel like colourblindness is a disability, it feels similar to how someone with mobility aid might feel if a building they needed to go into didn't have a ramp for wheelchairs. the sims 4 is one of the best in the industry when it comes to representation of minority groups, but it somehow doesn't have a basic feature most other modern games i play have either by default or an option in settings. there's a whole accessibility tab in the options page of the game, but the only setting is to adjust the UI. why not add a colourblindness setting to justify the existence of an accessibility tab? If UI size is the only thing in there, it may as well just be put into the graphics tab or something. idk, I just wanna be able to know what colour i am looking at.
