@Thats_Me_Madzis right. Just click on the "X" next to the filter as shown below:
That will allow you to see everything in that category, male AND female. Actually, if you are using player-made CC, the majority of the time, they're tagged wrong. Most CC creators have no clue how to do it properly. The only way you can see a lot of them is by doing that and closing the filters.

speaking of filters, one thing Create-A-Sim severely needs besides a 'clone' sim or edit sim relationships option, is also related to like things like keeping make-up on each outfit or deciding to keep them separately, I can't tell you how many times I wanted the same make up set for outfits and it just not being an option, because CAS is a little limited. I mean yeah, you can filter clothes fairly well, but I would like to see improvements, just small things to CAS, please have a clone function, it's always been in sims (I think), but no clue why it wasn't kept and no clue why toggling make up on all outfits wasn't kept either.
