Deleted Saved Game
I was in create a sim after purchasing a new pack and it deleted my saved game and tried adding the new sim to an old save. I am a little frustrated as I had just created that saved game a week ago.

are you using oneDrive ?
Could you check which folder the game uses: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/ and if it's the save you're missing maybe in another folder.
