Re: [Patch 1.117] When Loading Save, Game Returns to Neighborhood Select Screen

I did the tutorial above exactly as it said. I renamed my the Sims 4 folder the Sims 4_Old and repaired my game. I then made a new save file with completely the base game, and it worked! I had not been booted back to the map; however, when I exited and reopened the game to have my old save files, tray, and mods back, it just kept loading endlessly. I have a mac, so I went to force quit since that is really the only way to get out of that situation, and it said that the Sims 4 was not responding. I have been trying to fix this issue on my own for the past couple days and was excited to find out that there was an official way to hopefully fix it, but now I'm afraid my game is broken. I had just spent tens of hours making a historical save file for my new legacy challenge, so if it's gone, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

If there is any way I can fix this, please let me know. In the meantime I will try to mess with it myself and see what I can do to fix it. Also, tell me if I need to attach anything, like my folder or screenshots, I would be willing to provide them.

Thank you so much and pleas help.

Try this. Once again, rename your old Sims 4 file. Start a completely new game. Once it's up and running, copy your save files from your legacy save into the new file without the mods and cc (Just the save file) and see if it loads. If it does, then it's your mods. This particular problem occurred because one of the commonly used injection mods that creators use to make mods was not functioning due to changes EA made. That creator has updated their mod, so now the mod creators who use it need to update their mods with the new version. At least this is what I understand. However, I have in the past had a completely vanilla save go wacky on me because of nothing I could see so that is why I suggest you go through the process again and try to load a copy of your legacy save to see if it works properly.  My issue with the vanilla save I almost lost was narrowed down to a lot a loaded from the gallery with no cc that was glitched.
