You probably need to tell us which lot or lots you're having trouble with and whether they are the default lots or something downloaded from the Gallery. You should also include the creator's name and the lot name if it came from the Gallery.
The Fountainview Penthouse in San Myshuno doesn't have a front door and you can't set one, the last I checked. I don't know if the other Penthouse has the same problem. I'm not aware of any other lots that don't have front doors. However, there are several worlds that I don't have in my game, and I certainly haven't checked every lot that I do have.
