EA Player Support Services Representative

Hello, I was told by Hradya, my rep I spoke with, to post on here so i would be able to reach out and contact someone from EA Sports to help me with my issue.

My issue is, My Sim's 4 game will not let me play out of the "normal" speed mode. I have restarted, reinstalled, both the game and my laptop. I was able to reach out on the help service chat and speak with a very nice person named Hradya. I told him my issue and he informed me that "unfortunately, that is a bug they have been told they have" and that he would push my info along to hope to try and resolve the issue.

I then asked if Hradya could provide me with a coupon or discount so i can get the Sim's 2 new pack, so i can at least play in the mean time. His response was to post on here so i can be put in contact with an "Upper" person from the company to help me. Hradya said they are on here often and will be able to help.

    If you use mods or cc, try moving the mods folder to another place and then testing to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.
    If this issue is only happening at night, make sure that there is not any sims that are still awake.
    Try testing on a new save game file, and see if the issue remains.
    If the issue is just on one save game, try switching to another household, then go back to the original household and see if that helps.

    could you give some more details what actually happens in the game ? What do you mean by you can't play outside of normal speed mode ? Speed 2 and up don't work or ultra speed doesn't work ?

    Also what platform are you playing on ?

    Hello crinrict​ 

    When i am playing, i am unable to use "x2 speed" and up... I can only play the game in "normal" speed (play button icon). It wont even do ultra speed when my sims are sleeping or at work.

    I play on my surfacebook pro 3, using the EA Sports app and then opening up my downloaded Sim's 4!

    I just wanna play like i always have, this is a new issue i have never experienced before while playing. 

    I then asked for a discount to purchase the new bundle for Sim's 2, so i can at least play while they work out the bugs and was told to post here and some one from EA would reach out to me
