Is there a way to enable/disable packs offline if a player wants to have certain packs available sometimes, but not always?I am already aware of the online method (going through game properties and typing in (under Advanced Launch Options) Command Line Arguments. I want to know the way to do it offline (in text files- since there is an obvious file there).Going online forces users to update, and several players already know how bad that is (with updates breaking games, causing various issues- including not being able to play for months). There are many players who want to stick to their current (somewhat) stable version, while being able to choose which packs to play with, or not play with. Since the game is on their HD (including all packs, regardless if they are disabled), there has to be some sort of text (?) file to edit, or another way around going online and breaking one's game from required updates that the player does not want (having already spent too much money on a broken game).

If you don't already have one, create a shortcut on your desktop to:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_x64.exe"(Or wherever your sims game is located)Then add the disable parameter at the end. (10 is snowy escapes)-disablepacks:EP10So, it'd look like this in the Target box: (quotes and all)"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_x64.exe" -disablepacks:EP10

@Psychotps I don't want to go online - because it forces you to get the latest patch (or not be able to play), way too many game for many players to risk messing up their (more stable than currently) game that we payed hundreds for - game-breaking bugs, and the team just straight up don't fix them. That's why I was looking for code editing options (wondering who had found it, and could help).

@InfiniteVerve I don't understand. What does the command-line parameter have to do with being on-line? You can take origin off-line and still use command-line parameters... Works just fine. You just can't use things like the gallery.

@InfiniteVerve If you use the command-line version to disable a pack, the game may "report" it's downloading, but its not. It can't while it's disabled. It's a faulty report. Just use the command-line option. It'll work.

@InfiniteVerve Look like you're right about that. I changed it before I went off-line. It will keep the setting though. If you go on-line, change the setting, and then go off-line, the parameter will stay put.

If you turn off automatic game updates beforehand, it shouldn't update automatically before you can turn the parameter off and go back off-line.

Never tried it though.

@Psychotps I tried it last time, and got a patch I didn't want. When I went online (and then shut it off asap) Origin wouldn't let me play my game until I patched- and I got a patch I didn't want... Which is why I wanted to know what file to edit (so I could do it offline).

@Psychotps I apologize but, are you being humorous, or serious about this? The editing would need to be within one of the core files (to my understanding). Is this something (what you suggested) that you've done, and it worked? I'm shocked if it did.

@Psychotps Hi, I notice you saying the command line method still works but I’ve been trying it all day and it hasn’t been working. I only want Get to Work and Outdoor Retreat at the moment so have inputted: -disablepacks:EP02,EP03,EP04,EP05,EP06,EP07,EP08,EP09,EP10,GP02,GP03,GP04,GP05,GP06,GP07,GP08,GP09,SP01,SP02,SP03,SP04,SP05,SP06,SP07,SP08,SP09,SP10,SP11,SP12,SP13,SP14,SP15,SP16,SP17,SP18

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled origin and repaired the game with no results. My game is fully updated and I own everything if that’s relevant. Thanks in advance if you have any advice
