No, the Sims 4 does not run on a Chromebook. Sims 4 needs either macOS or Windows to run. There's also a console version available for XBox 1 and PS4.

Hey guys,
I have a question. My boyfriend bought me a laptop for Christmas because he knew I wanted to play sims so bad. But... he bought me a google chromebook, which as I now know will not run or even download The Sims 4. I saw someone suggest to a MacBook user to try an external hard drive to play and wondered if that would work for me? So can anyone tell me if I can use an external hard drive to play the sims 4 on my Chromebook and why/how or why not?? thanks!!
@goldieeeeee773 No, unfortunately that won't work either. Chromebooks just don't work with Sims.
