I can't play any household. Whenever I select the play button at the bottom, the loading screen initiates, and then the game glitches and the select a world screen appears. I cannot access/enter/play any household. Lot changes in Manage Worlds also not saving, despite saving the game after changes were made.
Did all the same things occur on a new save with nothing put back too or did that work properly ?
If it's mainly the save you're playing that has issue, then it might be something about the save that corrupted.
Going to move this to gameplay for more troubleshooting as the original issue doesn't occur anymore.
Testingcheats was enabled in the context menu - I triple checked.
After each step/instruction, the original issue stopped but a new issue would develop. Initially, I couldn't play any households. Then, after that issue resolved I got the error that the roof pitch was too high on a house that was smaller than the lot it was placed on. After following your instructions from that point on, that issue was resolved but now I am not able to shift-click and the camera function is not working appropriately (I can't pitch the camera normally). The game remains unplayable. I cannot identify a problem folder, per those instructions, because I don't have screenshots, custom music, custom configurations, etc. Those folders are empty. I don't even have any saved games, right now, besides the save I'm testing on.

I followed the instructions linked for a clean user folder approach. The game continues to not work properly. I am unable to shift click on a sim or object to bring up the alternative menu.

FYI: I am running on a Mac, M1 Apple Chip. OSX: 23.6.1. Game version 1.123.66.1230
I had two mods that have been removed. The game still is not functioning correctly, though. I have added a lot from the gallery that is smaller than the lot it is placed on. When I try to reposition the lot, I receive the error "roof pitch cannot be that high" and I'm unable to reposition or move the lot on the block.
