I play Sims on the PS4 and I wanted to get my Sims a business selling things at a retail store but unfortunately when I click on an empty lot the cash register symbol does not appear. Yes, I have the pack Get To Work but it still does not appear does anyone know why this might be happening?

@kelzblogs Is the store a business that came with the pack or one that you made or downloaded from the gallery?Please check if one of the businesses that came with the pack (they get added to your library) gives you the same issue.If you're only having the issue with one particular store you could share it to the gallery and I could try it in my game, if you like.Spoiler (Highlight to read)You could name it something like "test store". @kelzblogs Just as an aside thought/clarification... If you go to Magnolia Promenade, do you see these retail stores, and if you hover over Paddywack's Emporium do you see this pop-up?:

@kelzblogs If you are not seeing Magnolia Promenade at all this is very suspect. It is a new 'town/world' that came with the pack and should show with your other 'worlds'. If you were on PC/Mac you would want to do a game repair to make sure the pack is successfully downloaded properly, as it is not apparently the case in your game currently. When @PoptartJuniper pops in she will know what the Console version alternative of a game repair is.

@kelzblogs I've consulted on this and have some options to address your incomplete retail pack issue on console:First, make sure your game saves are saved/uploaded to the cloud.Next, delete the retail pack.Now re-install the retail pack.If the pack is still not complete (if you are still not seeing the new town/world and stores), then re-install the game. That process should also bring in the Retail pack ("Dine Out") that you purchased.Please let us know if this fixes the issue. 🤞

@kelzblogs You need to change the lot type from Residential to Retail. Once you have built your store in Manage World you can load your household and purchase the business.

@jpkarlsen I followed your advice but it still didn't work I don't see the cash register symbol anywhere and I have changed a lot type I did not see one for a retail place I do not know what to do do you have any other suggestions

If you are trying to change an existing lot into a retail lot, you need to set the lot type to 'retail' via the manage worlds feature. Then you can use your sims phone to purchase a retail store - it should take you to Magnolia Prominade (the small world that came with Get to Work, with some existing retail stores for purcahse), but you can also navigate to any other worlds that you own and choose any lot that is set as a 'retail' lot.

When you say the cash register symbol, do you mean in the bottom right hand side user panel?

It won't show up on my phone at all which I don't know why the only thing that shows up is find job, quit job, and vacation.

@SheriGR I would but I am unable to get access to any of the retail store I have the pack but the cash registers icon will not pop up on my screen nor can I go into any light and change it to a retail store I did see Carl's guide but seeing as the icon would not pop up at in the place that was supposed to after the needs I am unable to get a store at all I do not have any mods or CC because I play on PlayStation 4 we are not allowed those
