Green lady tome not gaining fishing skill

when my sim reads the green lady’s tome the fishing skill is the only one that doesn't level up I only get cooking and gourmet cooking skill increases

There's a typo in the description. This is the skill you should be getting: cooking, gourmet cooking and fishing but only if your Sim is currently Level 4-8

The Green Lady's Lost Tome helps with Cooking, Gourmet Cooking and Fishing (see original blog post about it Reaper's Rewards FAQ)

What the blog post doesn't explain though is what level of skill you have to be in each one for it to start working! My sim is only gaining cooking and gourmet cooking skill from it at the moment, I've read elsewhere that you need to be Level 4 in fishing for the Tome to start raising your fishing skill. I don't know if that's true, but my sim is only Level 3 so I guess I'll see if the Tome starts increasing her fishing skill once I get her to Level 4!
