Grim reaper kills all farm animals like chickens and lamas

My chicken and lamas keep dying off old age even tho I have the option aging off in the menu. I play on different families so everytime I switch lots the grim reaper is there to kill all my animals... I can't seem to fix it. Does anyone know a solution? I play on ps5. I have the feeling that i can't use the pack cottage living anymore... waste of my money.

    The Grim Reaper comes to all my lots with livestock and kills them all, even if they were just purchased and therefore not old (plus, I have aging turned off anyway). I'M SICK OF IT! Where is the fix that has been repeatedly promised by EA? For the $100s spent on The Sims4, I expect it to work properly!
