HELP! My SIM household was replaced by the BFF household.
I'm new to Sims 4 and just run into my first real issue. I chose my created Sim household and selected to play it on my created home lot. Suddenly, it was loading me into the BFF Household next door. I thought, "Weird, I must have mis-clicked." But, when I went to back out and re-select my Sim, it was gone. The game acts like the BFF household is the only household I have. My Sim and her 87,000 simoleons was overwritten by an NPC household that came with the game! I have put in over 21 hours on this Sim and her house. HELP!
It happened when I was loading in a save. It just dumped me in the BFF household instead of loading my Sim. Then, when I went back to the 'Main Menu', it only showed the BFF family standing around instead of my sim, and only the BFF family was selectable as my save file.
I finally just went to 'Recover Save' and rewound to my last save point to find my Sim household again, because the save was just completely overwritten by the BFF household. I honestly don't know what happened.
Thanks for replying, though. If I hadn't figured out a solution myself I would still be upset and looking for help. I put in alot of work and didn't want to lose it all due to a glitch.
