High school years/no graduation/no diploma

i’ve played through two of my sims at high school, it got to their birthday naturally, when they age up there’s no age up pop up to choose a new trait. but there’s also no graduation invite pop up either, no computer options and no mail options either. i have played through the last teen week multiple times, removed and disabled any mods, had them finish their last school day and then have a party, ive had them blow out candles in the morning. nothing gives any kind of graduation, i have gone to the auditorium the sunday after at the right time and there’s nothing. i got high school years because i wanted to experience the whole thing including graduation, i ignored weeks of early graduation pop ups just to not get a graduation for them. i’ve tried repairing my game multiple times and nothing works. feels a bit pointless to have bought high school years to not have them be able to graduate or even receive a diploma
