How do I change the mood and pose in a selfie on PS4?

I was excited to check out the new base game update, but for some reason none of my controls are allowing me to select the mood or pose of the selfie. I tried the Dpad but that isn't working unfortunately. Can someone let me know what controls I'm supposed to use?

    If you're using your phone to take photos, click on the square button to switch to pose mode and use the d-pad to change poses. Let me know if this worked for you.

    Sadly, it’s not working for me. I keep on pressing it and trying to use the deep pad, but all it does is change the filters of the photo.
