How do you delete/remove Sims without a home?

I'm currently dealing with an issue where I evicted my old version of my Sim from a home and moved in a new, modified version of this Sim.

For whatever reason, that first Sim is still alive and occasionally shows up at random, visiting his old neighborhood and walking the streets.

There is nothing I can find on how to remove this Sim permanently from my game - they do not have a home, they just walk the streets and I'm sick of it.

Did the developers really cheese it that bad with Sims 4, or can I fix this?

  • @Advercius Have you tried going into manage households, and look in 'not in world' tab to see if that sim is there? That sim might be there, and you can delete them from there.
  • @AdverciusYou could also change the appearance of that other Sim in CAS by using TestingCheats. They would still be in your game but they would not look like your Sim anymore.

Press Ctrl + Shift + C to open a console window. In the window, type testingcheats on and hit enter. Press Ctrl + Shift + C again to close the console window. When you next see that other Sim, press Shift + click on that Sim and select "Modify in CAS". This takes you to Create-A-Sim where you can change their hair and clothing however you want. You could also give them a new name. They'd still sorta look like your Sim but maybe different enough as not to notice unless you looked really close.

If you want to completely change that other Sim (or any other Sims you choose), open the console window again (Ctrl + Shift + C) and this time type cas.fulleditmode and then close the console window (Ctrl + Shift + C). With this cheat on you can shift + click on that Sim, select "Modify in CAS" and completely change their appearance, age, gender, traits, how they walk, everything!

  • @Advercius Next time you see him, Shift Right Click and add him to your family. Once he's added, shift-click on him and edit in CAS. From there you can delete him. If you have MCCC, you can teleport world sim to your lot sim. It's under the Command section I believe, and you scroll through, find him, and he appears pretty much on your current sim...just walk away and then you can do as suggested above (add to family, then delete).
