@PrincessPlumbob1 I believe it's available without any specific DLC.
In Lot Types just scroll down the list until you find Vacation Rental near the bottom of the list.
I've done that and I dont see it ☹️
@PrincessPlumbob1 it should be available when you are in Build Mode with an unoccupied house/lot, so it has to be done from Manage Worlds on a vacant lot.
If you are on a vacant lot and it's not there in the Lot types could you possibly list what lot types are available to you and also let us know are you playing on Xbox/Playstation or PC with mods/cc please? Could you also tell us the original name of the lot that you are using? This might help narrow it down.
the lot types that were available to me are: residential, bar, park, generic, gym, lounge, library, museum, wedding venue, pool, and nightclub. im also playing on pc with mods and im currently trying to figure out which mod is actually causing the rental lot type to not appear because when I loaded in a game with no mods, the lot type popped up 😛
- @PrincessPlumbob1 That explains it then. I'm on Xbox Series X but used to play on PC. I didn't use mods though. This is the thread that might help, it has excellent advice from our resident PC and mod experts. They really know their stuff! Good luck.

I did a little testing with my mods and I found out it was better exceptions causing the vacation rental option to disappear lmao 😭
You actually can. But it has to be the houses/lots that are in your gallery. Once you place the house on the empty lot you can then go to the Lot Type & it will allow you to make it a vacation rental
Just did it on my Xbox
