So, first the shopping cart icon at the top right corner of the game UI, then big prompts at the main menu to claim daily rewards, then waiting 8 weeks for a glitched ceiling to be fixed, and now this!? It looks like my predictions were right about The Sims 4 being awful this year. I don't really understand what the Sims Team is thinking. They say they understand the frustration of players and are gonna try and fix problems, but implementing daily rewards doesn't solve anyones problems. Also, this daily rewards thing is such terrible idea, especially for those that do not want to partake in this. This is NOT OK! Good grief... 💔
The entire free rewards thing is honestly one of the stupidest, if not, the stupidest thing The Sims team has ever implemented into The Sims 4. Not only can you not opt out of this crap, but it also doesn't even work properly. Also, what even was the point of the game trying to get me to claim the rewards back in June when I literally have all of them, despite me not claiming the Daily Rewards thing back in June? Shoving prompts in my face is literally the biggest backlash of this rewards event. Every time I launch The Sims 4, I get full screen prompts, so I'm always spamming the ESC key just to bypass this, as if I was trying to enter the BIOS on a computer. This is a prime example that makes dealing with The Sims 4 pure torture and frustration, just sayin'. 😞

I also don't want to play this rewards thing since it doesn't even work! It takes up so much space and makes my game even more buggy - mods disabled and trying a new, clean save included.

I want to share my experience so far with me redoing some past projects. This rewards thing actually hasn't been a very major issue for me, except for the fact that those icons in the top left corner are just...there. And then there's those times after I take selfies when the 'Call Away' prompt just opens itself. Also, when the Newsletter (whatever the full name of it was) would arrive, I basically immediately threw it into the trash and selling it doesn't get you any Simoleons. Nonetheless, at least for me, this didn't cause major disruptions to my project redos.
Not gonna lie, I actually had this same frustration back in June with the Happy at Home Rewards thing because it was always in my face when I just wanted to play the game as is and having these pop-ups to claim rewards I don't want or care about is a headache. I remember being so raged about these pop-ups that I had decided to ask if there was anyway to disable these, but had no luck.
If anyone wants to read that post I made, here's the link:
They really should just stick with SDX updates for free stuff, because you can at least opt out of this if you don't want this. But with rewards events and/or daily rewards, you're pretty much out of luck, unless you do some kind of tough workaround or something.

Now that this headache event is over, with the exception of the Grim Reaper Icon that is said to remain until November 26, I hope they DON'T ever do these reward events EVER AGAIN, especially since you can't opt out of it! For me, these reward events defeat the entire purpose of what The Sims 4 is supposed to be, where the entire point is to do whatever you want and NOT be forced to do specific tasks, but these reward events are a major conflict to what the point of TS4 is! I'm sure there's a lot of Simmers out there who think the same thing. Again, they need to stick with SDX updates if they are planning on offering free stuff, as reward events don't work and no way to opt out, plus the reward events do not help matters at all and are only causing more frustration than ever.
So yeah, that's all I've gotta say.
Have a day.

So annoying.
I thought they said this stupid thing would be finished this week. I log on and it’s still there! Ugh
