i've tried with no success as well. i hate these events, and hate even more that i cannot opt out or hide the effin notifications about it.

I genuinely hate how these Reward Events are always 'In your face' and there's nothing you can do about it. Every time I start a new save, which I pretty much always do when I do a new session, I'm literally yelling "SHUT UP!!!" whenever the stupid pop-ups appear shortly after starting a new save! And no, I'm not making this up, I'm being very serious! I can't believe that this is causing me to rage this badly! The Sims 4 should be a relaxing game, but it's doing the exact opposite! I never agreed to do these reward events! It was NEVER the reason I got into The Sims 4 in the first place!
If anything, these reward events love to try and be an unnecessary distraction from the real point of The Sims 4, which is doing what you want at your own desire. The reward events defeat the entire point of what The Sims 4 is supposed to be. And I thought the shopping cart icon was the worst thing they ever added, but these reward events are genuinely worse! Trying to get my projects done in peace is very difficult now.
Thanks a lot EA for turning The Sims into an incredibly bloated mess... 😑

There's probably already been a post talking about this, or something similar I'm sure, and this may just come across as a bit of a rant, but I thought I'd just get it down anyway.
There should be/ Should have been options to opt out of the events for those who aren't interested, ultimately getting rid of the top corner windows or the pop-ups.
Edit: I got merged, but yeah.

Another thing I wanted to point out too is that whenever I take selfies in-game, the reward event task menu opens up every time I finish taking selfies. It's such a great way to clutter up the user interface... 🤦♂️
- rjssim1 year agoSeasoned Ace@crinrict Although I can't play the game right now due to now 4 eye bug issues, I would want to disable these events. The popup and the icon is annoying. It is taking too much space on the screen and is distracting. I'm not sure if the solution you provided works or not, but another thing is I use the gallery. So, even if your solution worked, I would not be able to use the gallery. We need an official option to hide these events and their icons etc. It's bad enough we have to deal with that annoying shopping cart icon, but at least there is a mod to get rid of that. These events shouldn't be forced on us, especially since every single one of them so far has caused issues and bugs. Also, as a storyteller, I am not interested in doing the events either. An option to hide and opt out would be great.
PLease Please tell me how to get rid of that irritating cozy rewards thing, I hate it and do not want it as it gets in the way of other notifications plus I do not want them any way.. Thank you
Hello,
Could you please tell me how to get rid of the irritating Cozy Celebrations bar that keeps surfacing in my gameplay in Sims 4? You did this with Reaper stuff like a month ago. Is there any way for a user to prevent these things from appearing? Can I opt out? Or do I have to just call it quits on this game after like a decade?
PLEASE MAKE AN EASY WAY TO OPT OUT OF THIS *.
Respectfully,
Katie
- Caerfinon1 year agoSeasoned Ace@crinrict I followed your Event advice and created a game instance that I can play events in while having my normal gameplay instances completely untroubled by events at all. Many Thanks.

so this is not a solution, and the fact that you think it is proves how brainwashed by ea you are and I feel bad for you. we shouldn't have to risk corrupting the game by removing files and crap, AND lose access to the gallery just because ea wants to tell the player how they should play the game. I paid my money for this game, I have the right to play it as I want, not have to follow some bs rules just because the developers are getting bored sitting on their butts all day not fixing real problems.
Adding my vote and message to this - there NEEDS to be a way to disable these events that take up space and ruin the experience.
