i accidentally downloaded sims 4 legacy edition

I accidentally downloaded the sims 4 legacy edition even though my computer can run the non legacy version (thought my computer could handle less than it could, but was wrong). Is there a way I can delete it? I know they said that it shouldn't affect me even if I downloaded it, but I don't really trust that. I haven't noticed any changes in my game, I just want my anxiety gone about it lol. I tried to look up how to get rid of it with no luck and I am not too tech savvy.

Yeah I realize this is kind of dumb but my anxiety is really getting to me about it since the legacy edition is so limited with regards to the gallery and stuff like that which is stuff I use often

Go to the Origin/My games Library - right-click on TS4 and select properties or game data. (My version of Origin is not in English so I don't know what the equivalent of this term is for you)
Then select advanced startup options. Change from 32 bit to 64 bit there
Then fix the game in Origin:
Once more right-click on TS4 select the option "repair game"

The first time launch the game from Origin - not from the desktop icon

    I don't work for EA

  • Did the same and lost EVERYTHING! All my old sims. saves, games, mods (cc) ..... all gone. None showed up with 'legacy'. Just totally crappy!

My bad, got all bummed out that everything was gone. I'm using a Mac and went to the documents folder to try something that I read on line. Discovered that there was a new Sims 4 folder 'legacy'. Just copied everything from the old Sims 4 'mod' & 'saves' and downloaded into the 'legacy' mod & saves folder. Everything is there now and the cc animations are a LOT better. Only issue is the cc hair but hopefully that will get figured out. Most likely a cc skin overlay or detail that needs to be removed.

  • I tried this but it didnt come up with any of those options for me! Im using a Mac 64 bit and it wont let me uninstall sims 4 legacy so I cant play sims 4 Discover university

Me too unintentionally downloaded The Sims 4 Legacy Edition. After that I got warnings and blue screen several times with the text "Kernel Security Check Failure". After a lot of this and that, I finally moved the map Delta - LE to my screen, away from Origin Games and problems solved! Thank goodness, my computer works fine again!
