I can't load the game

I try to start the game without any mods. I can get to the home menu but I cant load the save or contiue playing. It takes more than 30 minutes. Then I close the game with Ctrl. alt. delete. And try to restart the game and the same things happen and then I try to repair the game but that doesn't work ether. Please help me.

    @EA_Illium I'm on PC and I play sims 4. I have all the packs and kits instaled. I tried to start a new save and it worked. But I would like to keep playing in the older save.

    @LirraFlirra 

    You write "without mods". Does that mean you originally played with mods? If so your save is likely permanently damaged, Broken mods can do this so it is very important to keep mods updated.

    @LirraFlirra Does it work if you start a new save for testing purposes ? This is to find out if it's a problem with the save game or a general issue.

    Does the map load if you choose load or also not ?

    Hi All,

    I am facing the same problem. I can't get beyond the home screen. I don't use any mods or CC, every time I want to load my household, it doesn't want to load and I keep getting stuck on a loading screen. Can you guys help me with this please?
